Personal History		Keith Mbumba grew up on Sagan Prime and left his home for Starfleet Academy as a young man in the early 2350s. Mbumba served for 10 years in Starfleet as a metallurgist before returning home to work for the Dytallix Mining Company in 2364. Climbing the ranks of the mining company, Mbumba eventually became the Head of Public Relations for the Dytallix Mining Company. He shepherded the group through its media wars against Sagan Prime shockjocks Dax Pecker and Darren Hunch into the 2370s, who felt Dytallix were imposing on the mining rights of the publicly owned Sagan Mining Consortium. Mbumba rejoined Starfleet during the Dominion War of the 2370s. He served as a science officer aboard the USS Swigert and was later transferred to the Diplomatic Corps as a Media Relations Officer. During his tenure, he held the rank of Lieutenant. After the war, Mbumba returned to Sagan Prime and joined the executive board of former adversaries at the Sagan Mining Consortium. Mbumba made a name for himself as an advocate for Sagan Prime and its mining interests, primarily in ensuring that locally mined materials were directed towards the industries of Sagan before being exported elsewhere. With his star on the rise, he was elected to the Santiago Bay City Council in 2385. Mbumba ran for Mayor of the Santiago Bay City Council in 2386 and won with a convincing majority. It is now rumoured that Mbumba may be running mate to Federation President-hopeful Jim Mazlish within the next decade. When the time comes, Vote 1 Mazlish-Mbumba!
